High quality, age-appropriate learning
Grandma’s Place prides itself on high quality early learning programs, not only for the year prior to school, but for all pre-school ages. We invest significant time in professional development and have internal and external mentors to guide our professional practice.
Our outdoor environment is key to our early learning program. Each element of the outdoor area has been carefully planned to maximise play opportunities that are developmentally appropriate for young children. These outdoor areas include exciting features like bike pathways, water play, food gardens and chickens, all surrounding a beautiful old fig tree to create a nature based playground. We have also created a separate, dedicated infant playground to provide a safe exciting area specifically for them.
Grandma’s Place internal design is just as exciting and our Educators create interactive play spaces to extend children’s learning, based on Australian best practice. The babies room has two cot rooms (instead of one large one) making it easier for your baby to settle using the same routines as home. This also doubles as a quiet area for breastfeeding mothers.
Our Kindergarten wing consists of two rooms. The Green Frogs room is for children in the pre-kindy age group (Junior Kindy). This room is run by qualified teachers and experienced Early Educators and focuses on giving younger children a jumpstart into kindy. The second room is our Government approved Kindergarten program. It has a qualified teacher running the Kindergarten, supported by wonderful Educators and our Educational Leader.
We are committed to creating a safe, secure, friendly and welcoming environment for your child and family. Our focus is on early learning programs where all children in our care are provided for in a loving and supportive way. We have a dedicated Educational Leader who works with our Teachers and Educators to continuously develop the curriculum and our professional practice. Together with a supportive family environment, Grandma’s Place provides the best of both worlds for your child.
